Voice actors Shizuka Ishigami and Kōhei Yanagi (who happen to co-star in Nukitashi the Animation as Nanase Katagiri and Junnosuke Tachibana, respectively) announced they had married and are expecting their first child on their respective X (formerly Twitter) accounts on Monday. Ishigami stated, “[Kohei] is a very caring person who always embraces me with kindness, and I want to support him and spend the rest of my life with him.” Yanagi expressed similar sentiments in his statement, saying, “Ishigami-san is a kind person who is always considerate of those around her and always embraces me with kindness. I am truly happy and grateful to be able to share my life with her.”

Shizuka Ishigami

Kōhei Yanagi
As of press time, Ishigami and Yanagi’s posts received just under 1,000 replies combined, most of which are congratulations from their fans and colleagues. Notably, fellow Nukitashi the Animation castmate Minori Ozawa (voice of Hinami Watarai). Ozawa congratulated both voice actors separately saying, “I’m so happy to hear this wonderful news! Please take care of yourself!” to Ishigami and “Huge congratulations! Wishing you lots of happiness in the future!” to Yanagi.
