How Would Audio-Only Anime Work? Nukitashi Episode 1’s Preview Teases How – Interest

The upcoming series Nukitashi the Animation released a new (almost) audio-only preview for its first episode on Wednesday, days before its premiere. The preview features audio from the anime, with the lines appearing on screen:

The staff had announced on Monday that the series would have an audio-only broadcast on the Tokyo MX1 channel, althought its secondary channel Tokyo MX2 would still air both the video and audio (albeit censored).

Comments on the anime’s social media posts were quick to point out the new video is reminiscent of the 2010 series Angel Beats!‘ next-episode previews.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End uses a similar style for its next-episode previews as well. So, while the new Nukitashi the Animation video can be seen as how the audio-only version of the series will be presented, it’s also possible that this is how the next-episode previews will appear at the end of each episode.

Nukitashi the Animation is set to premiere on Friday.
